March is Reading Month

These are just a few of the fun activities that students participate in during March is Reading Month:
Callie the dog comes to read with elementary students and a few students at a time read to her and her owner. It is a sweet program and the students love it!
Rock and Read pairs students from another class and everyone brings the book they are working on. Students read for 5 minutes, then dance to Kid Bop for a song, then back to reading. Fun and active day for students. They love it!
Throughout the month Guest Readers are invited into the classroom to share their favorite books with students.
Activities are incorporated to celebrate reading!
Students have set reading goals for the month, enjoyed fun filled reading rich activities, theme days and events all month and had a great time with their teachers making Reading a special focus in March!
