Cadillac High School Marching Band Review

Posted: Thursday, October 15, 2015

Excellence in music! The 22nd Annual Cadillac High School Marching Band Exhibition took place at Veteran's Memorial Stadium in early October.  Marching Bands from around the area showcased their talent to a crowd of family, friends and community members.  The stadium was alive with music and festivities as these bands brought their very best to the field.

The day started for music students before dawn as the band was featured on the Up North Live morning show.  Students arrived at 5:30 am to the stadium filled with light and proceeded to showcase Cadillac High School musical talent that was broadcast throughout northern Michigan.

Fall is a rigorous time for the Marching Band as they area feature of Cadillac's Homecoming festivities.  They don't get a break as they prepare for both band exhibition and Festival.

Mr. Filkins, Director:  "We work very hard, after 22 years, to provide an wonderful, educational experience for every band that attends our exhibition.  Since it is not competitive, every group can just sit back and enjoy every other performance.  The judges we hire represent over 80 years of marching band experience so each director walks away with a recording of helpful tips for future performances.  The Cadillac Band Boosters and Marching Vikings are proud to host this event."

Abundant Talent! - The Cadillac High School Marching Band.  The Marching Band recently recieved a First Division rating at the MSBOA Marching Festival in Reed City.
